The above aircraft became missing in action over the North Sea a few miles west of Amrum Island 14 May 43 while returning from a bombing mission over Kiel, Germany. The plane was last sighted at 1230 hours flying in the direction of the english coast, apparently under control although one of its engines was out and there was a large hole in its rudder.
