Following statement obtained by S-2 Section, 452nd Bomb Group, at interrogation after return of mission:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No information concerning loss of aircraft 745 has beed reported – if the three B-17\u2019s seen straggling behind our formation enroute out were from our Bomb Group, this aircraft would have been one of them – these three aircraft were last seen at the coast out at 1303 hours, approximately 20000 feet high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One tail gunner form one crew added to the meagre information reporting that two aircraft that left the Low Squadron were following the formation several miles behind but still visible as far as the coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
