Flight Officer Don R. Fisher saw an aircraft believed to be flown by 2nd Lt. Thomas W. Beal, leave formation between Wurzburg [W\u00fcrzburg] (which was the I.P.) and the target. The aircraft believed to be flown by Lt. Beal crossed under the formation about 2000 to 3000 feet below, heading Northeast. The ship appeared to be well under control. Nine to ten chutes were seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This information may or may not correct because the number of the aircraft was not noted. Six aircraft were lost that day by our Group and all planes were not in original position over the target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
