RR Bridge. After the bomb run I saw A\/C 256 with #3 engine on fire, and under control. #3 engine was feathered as he was losing altitude rapidly. That is all I saw of A\/C 256<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><em>S\/Sgt. James L. Bondruant<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>I the undersigned was flying in A\/C #921, 20 September 1944 on mission with the 340th Bombardment Squadron, 97th Bombardment Group. After the bomb run I saw Aircraft 256, with one engine on fire. The A\/C was losing altitude and had one engine feathered. Last saw of the Aircraft it was under control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><em>S\/Sgt. Cleveland D.
