B-17F 42-30211 piloted by Capt. John A. Bunch, was seen to be hit by four enemy fighters over the target at Huls, Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Aircraft was last seen leveled off at 5000 feet after dropping bombs at 0945 hours with the nose and tail destroyed by the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Four to ten chutes were reported to have been seen leaving the ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
