Information to the loss<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Intense and accurate anti-aircraft gunfire at Brux and moderate and accurate at Dresden. Reports indicate\u00a0aircraft\u00a0hit north of Brux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One engine was smoking and\u00a0aircraft\u00a0jettisoned bombs.\u00a0Aircraft\u00a0then crossed target with formation. Then\u00a0aircraft slipped off to left and down.\u00a0Aircraft\u00a0finally exploded in air about three minutes after it started down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six chutes were seen. First three came out together. Then three more a little later. One jump was delayed. It is believed there was time for entire crew to get out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is possible that one or more of the crew may have landed inside the American lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
