One A\/C was seen at 1015 [hours] at an altitude of 23,000 feet with inboard engines out steadily dropping back with 3 enemy aircraft on it. At 1020 [hours] there was a huge ball of fire from under wings followed by a thick black burst like flak. Aircraft started down in dive and observing aircraft lost sight of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This aircraft was last seen at 51\u00b055&#8217;N 06\u00b020&#8217;E by Lt. Robert H. Davis &#8211; at 1020 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The other aircraft was last seen at 1005 [hours] at 52\u00b000&#8217;N 05\u00b045&#8217;E going down under control trailing small amount of smoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last seen by S\/Sgt.
