B-17G 42-97068 piloted by 1st Lt. Jonathan H. Bullard, was last seen to go down with #3 or #4 engine on fire. The aircraft was under control as it left the formation and eight or nine chutes were seen to open. This took place at 0725 hours at 53\u00b021’N and 03\u00b035’E. No further observations were made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
