Following information taken from squadron history: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Target of the group was the Rail Road repair shops at Rouen, France. The formation was attacked enemy aircraft and aircraft #537, piloted by Lt. Coan, was seen to hit the water in the English Channel and exploded about 1 mile north of Fecamp (49\u00b045’N, 00\u00b023’E). Five parachutes were seen to open over land. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
