Delivered Gt Falls 7/2/44; Dorval 11/2/44; Assigned RAF [HB-769]; transferred 312FES/27ATG, ship arrived Maison Blanche, N/Africa 16/8/44 after loss of #2 and #4, engines were changed and on test flight 23/8/44 with John Brehm, Co-pilot: T/sgt Larry Grant*, Radio Operator: John Conden, pass: John Lizik, Ralph Arnold, Andy Zvolensky, Keith Chappel*, Rich David*, Ira Schrueden, Ken Bowes*, (10RTD – * all minor injuries); a wheels up landing was attempted but a wing dug in ground breaking fuselage in half and then fire broke out; Salvaged 24/8/44, Struck Off Charge 21/6/47.
