My Uncle S/Sgt John Bradley, was KIA on a mission while returning from a mission over Ploesti on 8/18/44. Is there a name for his B-17g #44-6275? He was in the 15th AAF, 20th bomb squad, 2nd bomb group. Thank you

I don’t know the name of the bomber but just found out that my Maternal Uncle Robert Haynes Rodgers from Saluda, SC was the pilot who died in this crash.
Go to page 317 of this document and look for the date August 18, 1944 (the title line has a typo that lists it as August 28 though the correct date is in the body of the text). It contains eye witness reports from some of the crew members who survived.
