B-17 Flying Fortress B-17 36-157

Delivered 2BG Langley 6-Jun-37; with Bill Bentley force landed ? due to severe icing conditions 6-Jul-37; transferred 19BG March Fd Oct-40; with John Turner crash landed east of San Jacinto, Cal. on 46th flt during a violent thunderstorm 18-Dec-40. However despite bent wings and losing some rivets it basically proved to be intact during salvage operation. This aircraft never served in combat and was never posted to the UK.
