The KIA John Carpenter was my uncle. I have a part from the Boomerang. .

Dale Markland, the waist gunner on this plane was my uncle. He parachuted out along with Cary Ford, they were smuggled through France by the French underground and were able to get into Spain.

Joe: I have visited the lake where the Boomerang crashed. The French that know of the crash gave me copies of the report removing the plane from the lake and also gifted me a part from the airplane found in the lake 30 years ago. Very moving to have this momento.
