Delivered Geiger 301st Bomb Group 5/4/42; Lowry 1/6/42; Assigned 42BS/11BG Hickam Fd 10/6/42; t/o Plaine Des Gaiacs Afd, Missing in Action Rendova Is 8/9/42, with Capt Robert Richards, Co-pilot: Bob McGee, Navigator: Bill Morris, Bombardier: Chas Bayer, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Otis Black, Radio Operator: Hugh King, Waist gunner: Yvon Bailey, Waist gunner: Peter Charuk,Tail gunner: Bill Omanoff (9 Killed in Action); crashed Rendova, on impact exploded following battle with Japanese H5K2 Mavis flying boat.
