My father is Charles D. Wallach. He was the navigator on this plan. Their mission was to bomb a power plant that was supplying the Germans. After bombing the plant the plane suffered heavy flak and then were attached and shot down by the Swiss Air Force. My dad survived and spent months in a Swiss hospital recovering.
