Hello, Just some more back ground on the “Little Minnie”,B-17 42-29724. This was the A/C my father was assigned to as the navigator and a member of Crew #23, under Lt. Don Sweely. This was while the aircraft was assigned to the 332 BS/94 BG out of Rougham, from which they did their first operational mission on 13 May 43 and their 18th mission on 30 Jul 43, just before the A/C was re-assigned. They took over the “Little Minnie II” which was lost in the Libyan desert in Aug 1943. I have the crew photo and crew listing for the first crew assigned, my fathers. The crew you show with the “Little Minnie” just above is my fathers crew as the missions painted on the side of the fuselage is about 8 missions which is their time frame.
