At approximately 1010 hours, 24000 feet, just after leaving the target A/C 750 from this group was seen with an engine on fire. A/C left formation and was seen to drop its bombs. A/C was last seen heading down in a dive. One chute was seen.

My Daddy, 1st Lt Leland C Borgstrom, B-17 Pilot of Ramblin’ Rebel flew 29 missions over Europe. He lived to be 86 & passed in 2002.

My dad was Albert Willoughby and also pilot of Ramblin’ Rebel. We’re they on sale crew? Dad flew 35 missions over Germany.

my grandfather was eager fetty I did not get to meet him cuz I was too young when he passed away but my grandmother his wife Bessie lived for a very long time I miss and I love her grandson of Edgar Petty
