A/C flying #3 of element to our right and above (believe to be A/C 990) was hit by E/A and ripped down on one side and rolled over absolutely shot up and A/C acted as if pilot and co-pilot had been killed and “went down like a ton of bricks”. Last sighted at 1422 at 49°38’N – 08°12′ E.
No parachutes came from this A/C.

My dad was a Ball Turret Gunner on Dame Satan. He completed his missions in May 1943. His name was Oliver Hackwith. I have a photo of the crew and the name Priebe sounds familiar that he may have been in my dad’s crew.
