my half sisters dad was tail gunner on the big ass bird HIS NAME WAS JEWELL SPURALL

My Grandpa, A.J. Smetana was a tail gunner on Big Ass Bird. It looks like there were 2-3 “Big Ass Birds” He survived 25+ missions. I think he’s on the Lower Left of the pic you can google of the “Big Ass Bird”
