B-17 42-30362 / Wee Bonnie II Details

Shortly after ship #362 was hit by flak on way to target, it was also hit by 20mm in the wing to left of #1 engine. The ship lost speed and altitude due the large hole in wing. The Bombardier jettisoned his bombs near Paris. The plane was reported to be under control although the pilot was seen slumped over the wheel. Four to Ten chutes were seen leaving the ship.
