My father was bombardier on the Paper Doll. While at Chelveston between 10/1943 and 6/1944, the Paper Doll was assigned to the 8th Air Force, 305 Bomb Group, 422 Squadron and executed around 50 solo night-time missions over occupied Europe dropping paper leaflets. Crew during that time were: Pilot-Jerome (Pat) Fallon; Co-pilot-Edward Henry; Navigator-Howard Bacon; Bombardier-Gerrit Vander Schaaf; Royden Boothe; Lenwood Elmore; Charles Sanborn; Henry Smith; Lawrence Wallich; Frank Kostecki. Data from back of photos and partial log book. Do not know the assignments of the enlisted crew.
