My uncle, Kenneth Donald Floyd, is in the middle of the back row in this crew photo! I have an original copy of this at home that he gave to me when I was about 10.
I never knew this photo was on the Internet.

My grandfather, William E. South, is the bombardier on the bottom far right of this crew photo. I immediately knew this picture when the screen opened. My family has it framed along with his things as a remembrance. Miss and love you sweet Granddaddy!!

Yes, this picture of our grandfather 1st Lieutenant William Elbert South from Mississippi is framed thanks to our aunt with his silk map and some metals. He flew over 30 missions in Europe and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a great man and is quoted in a book by one of his crewman as having a unique smile that gave his men hope when they needed it most.
