my dad flew as bombardier on the 100th mission, Bill Smith was pilot. they were not part of the normal crew. I have pictures of the pilot congradulating the ground crew. rum dum had no aborts due to mechanical failures, the other forts on this list can’t make the same claim. I have pictures of the pilot congradulating the crew. I have also been in contact with Muchows granddaughter.

My great uncle Victor Grzymkowski piloted the Rum Dum. I’m not sure which missions. My Dad, who knew some of his war history from stories Uncle Vic told, passed away last year.

Our dad Dana W Sweet flew missions on the Run Dum as a waist gunner.

My dad was the ball turret gunner for 36 missions
I was always interested in hearing about his time during the war but, unfortunately, he never spoke of his experiences.
However, he did meet my mom during an air raid in London.
They were married for 75 years and are now together for eternity
