Lt. Herget and crew of the 305th Bomb Group, are shown beside the B-17 Flying Fortress “Hip-De-Ditty!”. 10 April 1944. England.
Because of this fact, the photo were take just one day before the B-17 failed to return from mission.

My grandfather, Calvin Vance, is also missing from this picture. He was the pilot.
