On a test flight on 13/1/44 it crashed on a hillside near National Children’s Home, at Edgeworth, Bolton, Lancs while flying blind in zero visibility. With Delbert Harris, Co-pilot: Lt McDonald (2 Returned to Duty); Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Lt. Larry Tracy; Sgt. Tom Kristin, T/Sgt L.B.
