B-17 42-3395 / Passionate Witch II
Delivered Denver 1/6/43; Dow Fd 15/7/43; Assigned 561BS/388BG Knettishall 17/7/43; 6 September 1943: The aircraft came under attack from fighters and its pilot, Louis Krueger was killed. 7 January 1944: Crash landed Honington ex-Ludwigshafen with pilot Paul H Franklin. All crew survived and the aircraft was salvaged.
