Delivered Long Beach 21/9/43; Gr Island 22/1-/43; Assigned 360BS/303BG [PU-P] Molesworth 18/11/43. battle damaged over target Esbjerg 27/8/44 with Bertrand Hallum, Co-pilot: Alf Romstad, Navigator: Chas Olson, Bombardier: John Fetzko, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Horace Young, Radio Operator: Jack Botkin, Ball turret gunner: Heinz Ax, Waist gunner: George Stroud (8 Returned to Duty);Tail gunner: Milton Ross (Killed in Action); on her 97th mission the ship sustained flak damage which blew off parts of the tailplane and ruddder, killing Tail gunner: Milton Ross. Hallum managed to fly it back to England, then ordered the crew to bail out as he neared base, crashed Bowling Green Farm, Badingham, Sfk, UK,. Salvaged 2 SAD 30/8/44. BANSHEE.
