James G. Hatheway is my grandfather. He made it back to the states eventually after being liberated by the Russians. He went on to be a medical doctor and had his own family practice for many years. He passed away in 2000 unfortunately but had a great life after the war. Thank you for putting all this together!

Dear Alex, I am Co-Pilot Joseph Kiska’s daughter. He survived and was at Stalag Luft I. Please contact me. I am in contact with family members of 4 other crewmen on Dad’s flight. Also, I sponsored plaques of all 10 crewmen including your grandfather along the fence surrounding the spectacular memorial erected at Streatham Heath, where they had been stationed. Happy to share/exchange any info I have with you!!!! I’m so excited to find you!!! Regina Kiska, Westport, CT
