The Lt Witt Crew of the 306th BG never flew a ship with the S/N of 42-5813. Also 42-5813 is not a block -70 ship which as you can see this ship is by it’s physical additions and Modifications with 42-5813 plus when you enlarging the photo it is clearly on the stencil under the Navigators window. The only -70 this crew ever flew was 42-29815 which later became the “Miami Clipper when it was transferred to the 91st BG. If you compare the photos of the “Jackie Ellen to the “Miami Clipper” you can see some important marks that indicate that these two photos are more than possibly the same ship. Not mention 379th BG records show that 42-5813 was still assigned to the 379th BG long after this crew had returned to the ZOI.

My great grandfather Joseph C Bocelli was the navigator….

My brother William Earnest was on the Jackie Ellen II went down on Oct 14 1943 KIA.

The 379th BG record file shows that 42-5813 was salvged for parts after the crash on 30 July 1943.
