My dad, Roger F. Hobart, was navigator on this ship for 10 missions. He became a lead navigator and flew the rest of his missions on another aircraft. He was awarded a DFC for his abilities. Every time they taxied out to take off, he flew a small American Flag out the astro bubble above his desk. At the end of a mission, on final approach, he would lay down in the nose and watch the wheels until after they touched the runway.
