Delivered Tulsa 24/3/44; Kearney 22/5/44; Grenier 29/5/44; Assigned 349BS/100BG [XR- ] Thorpe Abbotts 1/6/44; Missing in Action French A/fds in Dunkirk area 12/6/44 with Ed McKeague died from exposure, Co-pilot: Frank Ritter, Navigator: Stelios Louros, Bombardier: Evan Peters, Radio Operator: Bill Allen, Ball turret gunner: Jim Swafford, Waist gunner: Alf Hudnall,Tail gunner: Joe Pellegrino (8 Killed in Action); Flight engineer/top turret gunner: George Penman, Waist gunner: Bob Gallagher (2 Returned to Duty); flak, ditched off Calais, Fr. Are there any existing photos of the B-17 Miss Lollipop? One of the men who died, Joe Pellegrino, is from my hometown and I’m gathering information on him.
