I’m searching for a photo, particularly the nose art, of B-17 Purple Heart Kid (42-97912). my father, then Lt. John (Joe) De La Garza was the navigator on the 24 March 1945 Berlin tank works raid. I have the flak piece that landed that barely missed him.
