Delivered Cheyenne 10/5/44; Kearney 22/5/44; Dow Fd 30/5/44; Assigned 551BS/385BG [HR- ] Gt Ashfield 1/6/44; transferred 510BS/351BG [TU-N] Polebrook 10/6/44; with Jim Blaney 1/2/45 had to abort before t/o when #1 failed thus spoiling record of of cr/ch S/Sgt Seaborn Jones who have had one of his aircraft aborted; in preparation for mission 25/3/45 #3 engine caught fire, which spread until the bomb load blew up 25/3/45; {this explosion also damaged 42-107124 & 44-6108}; [89m] Salvaged 2 SAD.
