This Airframe is listed in my Grandfather’s service record as one of the airplanes he crewed as a tSgt under Cpt. Lodman. 43-38310 is mentioned in a number of entries into the Mission Logs. She is referred to as Ship 310 of Sqdn 860 – or by the Crew Designation of “One More Time” – and our first reference in the Logs is “Mission 056” to deliver ordinance to the IG Farben Chemical Plant in Ludwigshafen, Germany on 13 September, 1944.

Hello Tino,
I’m a collector of military antiques and I have the Ernest J. Pinkham Pilot Uniform, which was also attributed to this plane. I managed to do some good research on this veteran and I can share it with you.
I would be very happy if Tino could share the information he has to enrich our research!

Absolutely, my pleasure – unfortunately, I’m not well-versed with Major Pinkham, I can confirm that he was in the same Squadron as my grandfather, Eugene Williams, a Tech Sergeant under Major Lodman. I’m pretty sure I can dig up the dates Major Lodman’s team crewed “One More Time”, but I don’t think that would help you much, other than give you dates that Major Pinkham’s team was on another aircraft.
