The RCM was my grandfathers brother, Charles E Deaner. It was his 3rd mission, he was a Togglier. Charles returned home along with my grandfather and 2 other brothers (there was 4 of them, all made it home) from the war. He was one of 3 that survived the crash. There is a plaque at Halesworth, and it also misspelled his name. I am trying to have this corrected as much as is within my power.

Hello Scott, thank you for the correct name of you uncle. I have updated it. I wish you luck that the plaque also can be changed too.
Cheers
Jing

Apologies, he was also not KIA, he was wounded – I can provide documentation if needed. Campbell and Foy were also listed as Injured (INJ) and survived the crash.
