Date of the missing aircraft report was Feb., 5, 1945. Two members of the regular crew were not on the plane that day. My father, James E. Lynch, Jr. , 2nd Lt. Piolet & Robert G. Elliott, 2nd Lt. Gunner . The nickname of the plane was either Hitler’s Nee Dee or Hitler’s or Hitler’s Hee Dee. It’s difficult to see from the document. These two men stayed behind because they had to many missions and had to take the day off. The reporting document was signed by Charles Ackerman, Jr., Capt. , A.C.
