My husband Weldon C Bragg was the co pilot in the final flight. We returned to the Village where the crash occurred for the dedication of a market that was placed there in 2005. The people there are wonderful and are very honored to be part of The men that rescue party that saved my husband and two others. Weldon was the last of the crew.

bonsoir md weldon c bragg ou l’un de ces proches, j’ai moi mème 80 ans, habitant de st andré la cote était présent lors de votre venu en 2005 a st André la Cote, j’ai dialogué via interprète a l’un ou plusieurs d’entres vous. pour mémoire la premiere plaque commémorative relatant la disparition de vos proches avait étée faite et mise en place par mon père décédé en oct 2005. il attendai votre venu avec joie mais le destin en a voulu autrement. si vous souhaité donné suite a mon courrier j’en serai ravi, car l’an prochain pour les 80 ans nous allons organiser un rassemblement, voir un déplacement sur le lieu du scrath et un dépot de gerbes au monument. dans lattente de vous lire, tout mes respects a vous américains anglais cannadiens austaliens et bien d’autres de nous avoir sauvés du joug allemand. bien a vous. cordialement gé……

Today I, Western-German, now living in Oranienburg, came across a black and white film showing the Blinking Betsy bombing the SS main camp in Oranienburg as part of the bomber fleet. After the landing, the crew can be seen debriefing in front of the aircraft.
My special thanks go to the crew who, as part of the bomber fleet, saved the world from the Nazis building an atomic bomb here.
