Hello and thank you for posting information about the B-17s and her crews.
My father-in-law (Dwight Davis) who passed away last year was a tail gunner on a B-17 named Vie’s Guys which was shot down over Germany.
We have a picture of a B-17 and her crew, but unfortunately Dwight was not in that particular photo.
The library of congress sent a video crew and documented Dwight’s whole military experience – from enlistment to return to the US after his time as a POW.
Any additional info about the Vie’s Guys history, her crew or photos would be greatly appreciated.

this B-17 44-6150 / Vie’s Guys wasn’t show down over Germany. Do you mean another B-17 named Vie’s Guys?
