I am the General Manager of the Rowland Freedom Center in Vacaville, California. A gentleman named Richard Halliday, who is still alive and very active, was the pilot of this aircraft on April 25, 1946. They were on a mission over Linz, Austria when the aircraft was struck by flak. He was severely injured but brought the plane home.
