Delivered Denver 21/12/43; Gr Island 24/1/44; Assigned 336BS/95BG [ET-F] Horham 6/2/44; 11m, caught fire and ditched on Air Sea Rescue mission 24/4/44 with P. L. Huie (RTD, along with seven survivors); Waist gunner: Joe Roderick, Waist gunner: Chas Smiley (2 Killed in Service); fire broke out in cockpit and forced to ditch off Ostend, Bel; picked up by RAF Walrus which taxied back to UK; Missing Air Crew Report 4263.
