I am from Poland. I am looking for traces after Core. Robert Walker. Was it exhumed after the war? My FB site 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10209917590412879&set=pcb.10209917602613184

All documents describe the legal removal of the remains. The “White Stars” Association is currently cooperating with institutions from the USA and WKZ Polska on archaeological works.

I am the grandson of Lionel W. Havlas / engineer and top turret gunner of this plane. Does anyone have photos of the plane at the crash site? I have heard there is a memorial there.

Here is the location of the memorial. I googled the serial number of the plane (my company owns nearby farm) and found this website.

I am the chairman of the “White Stars” association which deals with the history of B-17 bombers numbered 42-97465 and 42-97537 which crashed in 1944 in today’s Poland. We are the initiators and originators of the setting of the monument. We are proud that we managed to set up this monument. The families of crew members have been notified.
