Hello ,
I live in the north east of France ( Vibersviller 57670 ) I have just discoverd in the famille archives a photo of a B17 which had crached near the village during the second world war.
This aircraft beats the following inscriptions on its vertical taille :

A
I assume he belarged to the 388 bomber group dich was bases in Great Britain , il could be that it is the Little Joe JR.
Can you give me more information about this plane , its mission , its crew ?
Thanking you for your attention.
