Hello,
the B-17 43-37972 did not crash in Zutphen as described here, but in Quendorf near Bad Bentheim! The aircraft crashed burning into a small forest and parts into a farmhouse, injuring several people including children. Two children later died of their burn injuries. The crew was able to save themselves by parachute. Sources: Luftgau XI launch list and KU report.
