Hi,
I’ve been investigating this plane crash for 15 years. The landing site is about 6 kilometers (3.5 miles) from the town where I live. The exact landing spot is a field near the village of Chaiki. There is a memorial monument next to the B-17 Try’n Get it emergency landing site. I am the author of this monument. Ken Knox, son of Warren, the first bomber pilot, came to us. Radio Operator is Ray Sundet (not Sundot!!!). He flew from the USA to a meeting in our city – Witkowo (zip code 62-230). Regards .
