Delivered Cheyenne 15/5/44; Kearney 30/6/44; Dow Fd 13/7/44; Assigned 338BS/96BG [BX-H] Snetterton 14/7/44; during training with Jack Bimemiller unable to lower u/c and ordered to Honington depot to force land, however after repairs completed 78 missions then transferred 388BG 5/45; Returned to the USA Bradley 14/6/45; after an overhaul left for a war bond tour in the States; 4168 Base Unit, South Plains, Texas 29/7/45; on completion to Lubbock for re-fitting and an unsuccessful negotiations with Seattle city council, who decided it would be too costly to maintain, the aircraft was eventually assigned Reconstruction Finance Corporation (sold for scrap metal in USA) Kingman 22/11/45. 5 GRAND.
