Jack is usually a nickname for John. If he was a P-51 pilot, this might be him. https://www.americanairmuseum.com/person/125829

This was my uncle’s plane. Norbert Dryja was an original member of the first crew. He blew out an ear drum so they made him the crew chief. The original crew made their 25 missions (He says before the Memphis Bell did) and went home. This was a new crew and were on about their third mission when they were hit by a Messerschmitt. He never knew the fate of the crew. Thank you so much for putting this together.
