Delivered Denver 20/3/43; Lowry 17/8/43; Assigned 813BS/482BG [PC-L] Alconbury with Oboe Mk I radar 8/9/43; transferred 367BS/306BG [GY-A] Thurleigh 22/2/44; AFSC Stansted 12/5/44; Returned to the USA St Paul 12/6/44; transferred USN [34106] Rome, NY 23/3/45, later modified as B-17G and re-designated PB-1 (the first) as all B-17Gs, stripped of all armament and used as flying aeronautical laboratory 28/7/43; Returned to USAFF 2/4/48; eventually assigned US Navy, serial # 34106.
