My dad flew several missions as ball turret gunner in this B-17. I tracked down info on it and built an RC model of the bomber. Here is a link to a video of the first flight…

I also tracked down a black and white image of the nose art and a historian for the 95bg over in England helped me with the colors. My model was damaged in a crash caused by a radio problem but I will be rebuilding it this summer.

Hey, I am researching my Grandpas B-17, “Little Joe” with the two dice on the nose. I have photos of my grandpa and the whole flight crew.
My Grandpa was the bomber.
I’d love to compare research.

my friend Don Melton was tail gunner on B 17 little Joe, was wounded several times. I knew none of this until after his death in May of 2012, in Tacoma, Washington. I have no other info.

The pilot for that plane is Ernest Parker. He is still alive and doing well. He has an original oil painting of this plane from Queen Elizabeths royal artist. There is also one hanging at Buckingham Palace. Ernest has a photo of the Little Joe that depicts the nose art if you need one to reference for your model.

Hello everyone, my grandfather Charlie Rose was the pilot of this plane during its initial missions. I am looking for any photos of the plane and nose art available. I would love to see a photo of the oil painting mentioned above. If anyone has images they could share, I’d be so grateful. Charlie was very humble and reserved about his time in the war. He didn’t collect many pieces of information to share with his family. Charlie passed away in 1999. We all miss him still. He was a great man. Thank you for reading, Wes

Hi Wesley, My dad, Glen Griffin, was one of the waist gunners on your granddad’s plane. They had several reunions. I rewriting dad’s memories and up dating with new photos. My Grandfather Norman was a waist gunner on Little Joe, I was wondering if you all still had a picture of the nose art on that you were talking about in previous posts. I’d love to get a copy of it.
