Good afternoon, this B17 was called “Princess Jean,” named for my grandmother Jean Kennelly(Gaskill). My grandfather, Patrick James Kennelly Sr. was the pilot and named the airplane for his “princess”. We have family pictures of him with the airplane and others in-flight. He was in the 429th bomb group and flew missions out of Foggia Airfield in southern Italy.
