According MACR 3800 crew reported “few miles from coast in Baltic Sea” as crash location. Description should be changed from North Sea to Baltic Sea.

I’m seeing an aircraft identified as 7080-S being flown by Dalton on a raid to Peenemunde on 4 AUG 1944 per the formation charts for the 398th. This is long after the plane was lost on 9 APR 1944 and makes no sense as to unit assigned anyway. I can’t find any other B17 serial number that would be consistent with whats on that formation chart. Anyone have a possible solution?
